About Me

Kat at Legoland!
I am a fifteen-year-old Christian homeschooled girl who likes horses, reading, playing piano, reading, crocheting, Handel's Messiah, reading, history, getting letters, and reading.

My name isn't really Katarina, but since my family thought it would be a good idea not to use my real name on the Internet, I got to choose a new name! Katarina is a girl in the book At Agincourt, by G. A. Henty. It's one of my favorite Henty books and I'm going to write a review of it soon. Grace is my real middle name, and it fits just as well with this new first name as it does with my real first name.

Katarina means "pure", so I went looking for verses about purity to use in my blog title. I chose Proverbs 15:26b as the theme verse for my blog:

The words of the pure are pleasant words.

I found a lot of other interesting verses, so I'm going to do a word study on purity and post it sometime.

I am the third of four siblings. All of them are (or were, in Mara's case) homeschooled. They all got to choose new names to use on the blog too!

My oldest sister is "Mara". She is a senior in college, and she plays piano. She helped me set up this blog and will moderate the comments for me. (She is actually the one who typed this whole page.)

My other older sister is "Helena". She is a senior in high school. She likes to draw and talk about obscure World War II events, and she's teaching herself Japanese.

My little brother vetoed almost every name I suggested (including most of the Henty heroes), and finally settled for "Benedick", from Much Ado About Nothing. He is interested in camping and fishing, and is really good at making a model of any kind of weapon out of paper tubes.
